My Cousin Wants Me To Turn Off Fox News

My Dear Cousin,
Thanks for your latest email, asking me to turn off Fox TV News. I don't really need to turn off Fox, because I don't watch ANY television news anymore, no not ever. Almost everything on television so is filled with violent propaganda, hatred and fear mongering, I gave it all up years ago for the sake of my mental health. I still read a national newspaper every day, the local weekly, and some stuff I find on the internet. Recently, I get more and more news from friends posting on Facebook. Most reliably, it is from people, like you, my dear cousin, that I find out the truth of what is happening in our world today.

I think it's great all the time you spend trying to raise awareness about what is really going on in our country. We all need to express our selves freely and remember that is one of the most basic human rights that makes America great and special, even today. In Mexico, China, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Iraq, Iran and lots of other countries across the globe, we would be arrested and quietly shot for expressing our views against the ruling powers. Not to mention just for being women with ideas!

Unfortunately, since the era of Ronald Reagan (I like to think of him as the Great Deceiver) our media has become more and controlled by corporations, and a "news" diet of constant lies have become the main menu for most Americans. The Bush administration's FCC removed the last barriers to keeping our media unbiased when they removed the restrictions on owning two or more of the same kind of medium (like a tv station and a newspaper.) Not many noticed these changes, but a few of us knew what it meant. So now FOX TV owner Rupert Murdoch controls a vast portion of our media, and not unlike R.W. Hearst, he sells the right to create content to the biggest power and the highest bidder. And now just watch out for Google, for they want to own our internet as well, and be able to control who has free access to any information, just like with television and print media.

Sadly, it doesn't stop with the media, not by a long shot. The multi-national, corporate control of American life extends from the US Congress, to the Judiciary, the Presidency, the military, the market place, and to every corner of this vast and beautiful land. Even the Unites States Coast Guard now works for BP, selling blatant lies as official NOAA science reports and hiding the millions of dead birds and mammals in dumpsters in Mexico to minimize the liability cost for the most massive destruction of earth's ecosystems since we dropped the atomic bombs on the Japanese.

HEY BP, ya'll cleaned that dang oil up right fast, didn't ya? Most of it just plain just 'evaporated', didn't it?
And how about some nice, tasty Corexit 9500 sauce with that Gulf coast shrimp PoBoy, Mr. President?

HEY AMERICA, I am really pissed! I'm sick and tired of seeing our beautiful land destroyed for the profit of a greedy few who care nothing about who they rape and rob. I'm sick of us people just sitting around doing nothing and thinking the government will solve our problems or protect us from the threats of modern life. I'm sick of voting for men who always break their promises and my "HOPE" filled heart, while they murder their own integrity to feed the endless hunger of the endless war machine. Will anyone really speak out for peace? Will anyone ever stop these constant wars against all creation and life on earth? Will you?

More than anything, I am sick to death of the constant, ever flowing lie that there just isn't enough food and shelter for every person on this planet. WHO ARE THEY FOOLING? How can we sit here and stuff more fat in our fat American faces while bony, terrified children still lie starving and thirsty among the dusty piles of concrete rubble in what remains of Haiti? What are we waiting for? Why don't we just send them our extra food? WHY NOT?

Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the horror of it all, I forget the most simple truth. The answers, of course, can only come from within our own hearts. The solutions are all between us, just you and me. We know we should be kind and helpful to each other, so we do. We know it's wrong to steal from our friends and neighbors, so we don't. We tell each other the painful truth that must be spoken, even when it hurts and makes us cry out in fear and disappointment. And when times get really hard, we will share every bit of of food and comfort we have with each other, and all those around us in need. We will feed the children and shelter the homeless and care for the sick and old and down trodden folks because that is who we really are, people who care for each other, no matter what. And that is what the great teachers have always taught, no matter where you go.

I believe in you and I believe in me. Together we can find a way out of the horrible, disgraceful mess our country has become. If only more folks would unplug those damn machines, and come outside to join us, "by the river side, here beside the rising tide." The Peace is already here, and the breeze is blowing sweetly, a singing in my ear.

US must take control from BP now!

I am writing this desperate plea on behalf of the Ocean and all its inhabitants. The exploded oil well volcano in the Gulf of Mexico is a global disaster that crosses international lines and boundaries, crosses culture, race, gender, belief and species, impacting every thing living thing on planet earth. Every creature alive shares the common ancestral link and life line that is our blue water home. All creation on earth grows and flows with seas, as does the food chain that gives every creature life.

The drilling activities of BP in the Gulf of Mexico, their reckless, negligent and criminal actions that created the Deepwater Horizon disaster, and their incompetence to solve the gushing well, and their continuing pollution threatens to destroy our ocean ecosystems and our country's treasured coastlines and marine resources.

This epic environmental destruction caused by BP will make them infamous as the largest international polluter the world has ever known. BP will be remembered as the destroyer of entire marine ecosystems spanning the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. And for more than thirty days now, the disaster has continued to grow without a solution in sight. The growing damage will impact our way of life, our health and our economy.

The criminal activities of British Petroleum, Deepwater Horizon, and Halliburton must be stopped now.

President Obama must act now and order the US Coast Guard, EPA, NOOA, DEQ, and all available resources to take control of the disaster and protect our national resources. US authorities must immediately take control of the disaster site, find solutions to stop the flow, track the spill, execute effective clean up and containment operations, minimize damage where ever possible, and rescue, protect, and preserve every possible species of creatures and habitat. The delicate balance of our future's health depends upon what happens next. How will history remember this moment?

I urge you to take action on behalf of your planet and her oceans.

Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill is Epic Ocean Disaster

The scale of the current disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is being under reported by the US media and ignored by the US president and government leaders. And while the world does nothing but watch in horror, millions of barrels of oil spew from a oil volcano, made by the oil corporations, a mile below the surface of the sea, where no one can stem the flow of poison to marine life. The pressure is so great at these depths, no one will confirm the rate of the oil flow, but this is an epic event, a greater "accident" than the petroleum age has ever known, and the future of this tide of destruction is undeniably vast. And still no one can stop the flow of oil.

Please, please stop thinking of this epic disaster as a simple oil "spill." Your future life truly depends upon the vibrant life of the sea, the ocean from which all life grows out of and prospers with and feeds upon. Every single bit of life on earth came out of the endless sea. The food chain upon which every living creature depends, begins and ends with our oceans.

And every single part of those oceans is connected to every other part, and every bay, every channel, every estuary, inlet, cove, every drop of water on our planet earth finds its way back to the Mother Sea from which it came. And so it will be with this oil slick.

Dead oceans mean dead people, and already the deadly mistakes made by the BP corporate oil barons have killed of millions and millions of our fellow marine creatures and ruined life for hundreds of thousands of people; their work, their health and their land, all covered in an oil slick. The entire Gulf of Mexico may already be dead from this endless oil flowing underwater.

This is a global disaster and with toxic implications for everyone, everywhere. No life will exist without the life of the oceans.

But where are the solutions? Where are the scientists? Where is the leadership we need to stop this poison before it ruins our entire "blue planet"? Where is the president, the coast guard, the EPA? Where is the international response?

And while the pollution continues to flow, and the unanswered questions grow and grow. How long will the oil volcano continue to erupt in to the sea? Can it be stopped?

Why is so little being done to remove the oil? Where are the tankers that can suck it up? Why is BP using poisonous chemical dispersants that have no proven helpful effect? Where are the absorbent hair booms, instead of useless plastic booms that do nothing? Who's going to clean up all that oil on every beach the Atlantic ocean touches?

Who speaks for the creatures of wings, and fins and scales, all my relations?

How, oh how? will we explain this to the children, and the future's children, why their world was being spoiled with the red blood of crude poison spread across the oceans far?

Millions of year from now, when some new creatures have evolved on earth, and they uncover the fossilized remains, will they ask each other, 'who killed off all the humans?'

I urge all of you to contact your local and state officials. Stand up and speak out. Make them aware of the facts and ask how they will prepare to prevent contamination and what action will they take to protect your local watersheds from this ocean disaster that will have permanent, long term effects to our entire coastline.

And if the government officials will not act on behalf of prevention, it will be left to the common citizens to make every effort to protect their own watersheds from certain contamination by the massive wave of ocean pollution coming your way.

For the sake of all my relations, every blessed living thing, creatures of earth and fire and sky and sea and stars, we must take every action possible to lessen this disaster.

And I pray that the Ocean be healed and cleansed, and that somehow the sea creatures will survive.

Moon Bombs Tell Truth

The Moon is a giant reflector, an enormous mirror, who sends the light of the Sun back to Earth to illuminate our dark nights. The Moon shines light on our path through the shadows, and reminds us of the Sun when we cannot see him. Up close, her surface appears old and dusty, dented and crusty, but from a distance, she is beautiful and ever changing. Without the Moon, there would be no life on Earth at all. None.

Today, the most honored, global prize of peace was awarded to the President of the United States of America. The greatest award of peace for the leader of the most powerful nation in the world. And yet, the very same day, the brilliant scientists at NASA, sent an 80 million dollar bomb to bang against the face of the moon.

Is there another message here? What does Luna reflect to Earth's people today? 

On the one hand, America represents the best and the brightest of human ideas; freedom, justice, liberty, and equal opportunity for all. And on the other hand, the American corporate war machine is the greatest cause of the destruction of Earth's habitat, of the suffering and injustice of people and innocent creatures everywhere, of an endless wave of genocide across the earth. 

How can both be true at the same time? 

How can America speak of freedom while she enslaves her neighbors to the south? How can she promote the destruction of entire mountain ranges just to power another light bulb?

Today the moon is reflecting the deepest divide within humanity, the difference between words and deeds. The President of America speaks with beauty of peace and global healing between nations, a magnificent message to every side of the globe.

And yet this same President sends millions and millions of dollars to yet another war that can never be won. The generals in America always get more money for bombs, and tanks and guns, but there is nothing for the medicines to heal the sick children who suffer and cry out in pain.

When will America realize the potential of her dreams? When will America claim her power to heal, to help, to teach, to inspire? Why does the man who holds the hopes of millions send those same poor children to die fighting a war that never ends?

The Moon is our first Teacher, our Grandmother, our Timekeeper. Today she was also our Truth Teller.

The Best Way to know GOD

Bear and Kingfisher were sitting by the crystal clear, icy cold river, watching the salmon run upstream. Bear says, " I know the best way catch salmon." Kingfisher says, "oh yeah, show me." 

So Bear wades into the middle of the river, where the fish are leaping upstream, and he grabs a big one with his paws in one fluid movement. "See?" he says to Kingfisher, "my way is the best way to catch salmon."

"You're nuts!" says Kingfisher, "that takes so long! Only I know the best way to catch salmon. Watch me!" So Kingfisher jumps from his branch among the cedars, diving straight down, and spears a beautiful, shiny salmon with his sharp, strong beak. "See?" says Kingfisher, "My way is the best way to catch salmon." 

"My brothers!" says a voice from high above. "You are both wrong. Only I know the best way to catch salmon. Watch me." So Eagle watches the river for a moment, and then swoops down, talons outstretched, to snatch a huge fish with both claws and lands beside the river.

Now old brother Coyote has been watching all along from behind the nootka rose bushes, and at this moment he swaggers out to boast louder than all the rest. 

"MY BROTHERS!" says Coyote "None of you has any idea how best to catch these salmon. Only I can show you how." 

"Impossible!" says Bear.

"Ridiculous!" says Kingfisher.

"Prove it!" says Eagle

"OK!" says Coyote "Look over there, across the river, and I will show you."

So they all look in the other direction, for only a minute or two. And in that instant, Coyote gathers all the fish the others have already caught, and runs off with them, laughing all the way.

Light and Energy

There is a great movement happening on your planet, and a new kind of energy is gaining strength among the humans. The light of inner truth and self love is shining brightly now, from inside your hearts and minds, and it is growing momentum, power and a clear direction. Soon, if will become obvious where this energy will plant itself, to grow and multiply, beyond your wildest imaginations. 

The new energy is bright and clear and truthful. It knows only light and love, and it comes directly to you, freely, from your Sun, your Grandfather and Life Giver. You may be unaware of the immense changes that have taken place in the atmosphere and light bodies of Mother Earth, but rest assured, her new children will be born awake. And every living creature will move into this new light of abundance and joy, without fear or worry for survival. Gaia's children are ready to greet the Dawn, and the garden will be restored to the harmony of its natural state.

So when you are faced with a choice, any choice, the answer will be the same. How does this feel for me? What is the energy like? Is it Light? Will this bring me Joy and Contentment?

The dense, cold hardness of the energy of karma and fear will become so apparent to you soon, your choices will become easier. Look into the light before you, and ask yourself simply, 'What is that light I see? What color can it be? How will it benefit me?' And listen gently to your self reveal your answer.

Dear loved ones!

Can you feel the planet shifting and changing, every day expanding in light and intensity, for all time now? 

Just in case you are unaware and unprepared, I feel the need to give you all a major heads up! It's not just mercury retrograde this time! Major planetary bodies (jupiter, saturn, uranus and pluto) are already poised to promote long term changes of activity (aries, cancer, libra, capricorn, take note!) and huge shifts for the entire planet that include all our structured systems, corporations and governments.

Halloween will bring another round of world changing surprises. So go ahead and sell all your stocks now, and stick your cash under the mattress, before it all disappears again! Seriously, we must take stock in what has real, lasting value and meaning to us now.

Only what is real and honest and tangible will Pluto in Capricorn allow to remain. All the rest will fail and fall. And we must be pushed along, silly humans, to rebuild and restore our wonderful, beautiful, living planet, one sustainable step at a time. 

There is no thing to fear, only LOVE..... and the joy filled recreation of our world!! Dream your best future possible, and here we go!
